Bonite – Thunfisch
Thereis another Fish which commonly follows the Ships
called a Bonite : It is big, and hath much meat about it,
and about two foot in length: The skin of it seems to be of a
very dark green, and whitish under the belly : It hath scales
only on both sides, and there only two ranks of very little ones
along a yellowish line, reaching from one side to the other, be-
ginning at head to the tail, which is forked :
Salt before it be dress’d : Some conceive this to be the same
fish with another call’d by the French Thon, which is common
on all the Coasts of the Mediterranean Sea.
